code breaker cant load backups

i just bought a code breaker thinking that i could load and play my backups without any problems. it turns out when i choose my cheats and i load my backup game it says something like cannot load game. is there a way to load the backup with codes. i guess this is a very very small price to pay for having a modded ps2 v4. any thoughts anyone?

Gameshark 2 works fine.

I returned my Codebreaker and got a Gameshark...

I don't think there is a cracked Codebreaker that will play backups.

Just tell them the damn thing is not compatible with your PS2 version or something like that and exchange it for a GS.

they might not be so pleased with me returning to the store again. sense this will be my 3rd exchange already, but i think they have no choice sense stores go by their mine slogan, which is customer satisfaction..haha. but i have to buy a DVD DR. to remove some of the scratches that it got already from my lil brother handling it.

does the gameshark need that lil hardware(memory card) that comes with it in order for it to function?

Yes the Gameshark needs the little dongle for it to function.

Are you using the codebreaker as a swap disc or are you using it for codes?? My codebreaker didn't work for codes at first too but I figured out how to get it to work. When it tells you to insert the game disc go ahead and put the backup in. It tells me (and you too) that it can't load the game. It goes back to the main menu. With the backup still in the disc drive, go to start game again. The game now loads for me.... I hope this works....

One last note....Do you have a direct boot chip? I have to do the above method to get the codebreaker to work on both my messiah2 and my apple consoles.

im using the code breaker for my cheats..but im having a hard time loading my backup once i select the cheats that i want. i have a neo 4.5 which boots cd-r directly not dvd-rs. for those i have to do the swap method.

Hmmm.....I'm not so familar with the Neo chips. The above method works for me, but then I have a messiah 2 and a apple. If what I suggested doesn't seem to help I'm sorry.... I can only help about what I know.
