Diablo 2 Copying

Can't seem to make a backup copy of Diablo 2.
I'm using Clone CD.
CD to CD.
From a Toshiba 48X CD Rom to a Plextor 16X10X40a.
Any reasons why after burning it asks for the Diablo 2 CD?
It doesn't recognise the burned copy!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I made a working play disc copy.My writer is a Plexwriter12/10/32A version 1.08. I used clonecd 3.0.6.1....First I made A read to Image file. Check boxes 1&2 and 4, set to max read speed. You must use your writer to copy Image to hardrive then burn the Image. And it works. Does not work with new Exspansion for me so far.

You only need to check the first box in read and none in write (uses sub-channel data only).
Diablo2 is securom2 which also checks if the inserted cd is a silver presed or CDR. Your option is install and run from your reader (not burner, as these drives can read the disc info), or install daemon tools. With this you can emulate securom or run the game from a mounted image of the cd.

I had the same problem. Make a 1 on 1 copy and change the exe with the one from GCW. Dunno why it happens. Maybe it is because of Securom New.
