Backing up SecuRom

Has anyone any tips on backing up SecuRom (Colin McRae 2 and Half-Life Blue Shift for example). I have made 1:1 copies using CloneCD v3.0.6.1, these will install the game from my DVD rom but will not run without the original disk in.

I have the following hardware:
CD-R/W - LiteOn 24102B (Firmware 5S01)
DVD ROM - Matshita SR8583

I used the settings suggested by ClonyXL:

Read SubChannel Data From Data Tracks ON
Read SubChannel Data From Audio Tracks ON

i remember now, some cdrws make a backup that works but not in the drive it was made in. The other thing that i heard was that some dvd's didn't want to work with securom backups (something like that) that may be your problem!

Securom2 checks for the ATIP of a CDR which can only be read by a CD Writer. So run and install from a CDROM.
Also, did you write-on-the fly, or copy to HDD first with your writer? Whilst your burner may well handle subchannel data properly (all 96), it's likely that your DVD drive won't.
So re-read to image file with your writer, burn it, then install and run from your DVD.
Failing that, use Daemon tools installed in the background and your copy will work.
Let us know how you get on, matey
