dvdxcopy 1.4.1

I noticed that when I insert the movie "XXX" that it tells me that all of this movie will fit onto 1 dvd if all of the menus and special features are omitted. The movie its self is right at 2 hours long. But when I insert the movie "Undercover Brother" It has to put it on 2 dvd's. But this movie is only 87 mins long! WHY?
Unless the movie is longer than it says. It has 21 chapters and wants to split it at chapter 18 I believe.

Does anyone know where I can go to get info on determining which titlesets are part of the menu, special features, etc?

If you try move all title sets to the ommited side it won't let you move the actual movie over there. You can also use the preview titleset button, but I don't think this option works with 98 or ME, and the title set has to be in the ommited section to have a look. Not all dvds are created equal. Triple X may have been encoded with a lower quality than Undercover Brother.

Yeah, that sucks that you can't preview it with 98. I'm afraid to upgrade to XP because I have heard that it causes problems with Recordnow max at first. Im fine with it right now. It's no big deal. Thanks for the info.

What problems did you hear about with RecordNow Max and XP? Just curious cause that is the setup I have.

Just wondering, do you know where I can find a list of DVD9's that will fit onto 1 dvd if the special features, etc are omitted?

Do you know of any really long movies? I know Joes Dirt is one also. Although I'm not sure if it's DVD9 or not.

Long Movies? Like the Patriot or Braveheart, nearly 3 hours. Is that what you mean? I found you a list of dvds that will fit onto one dvdr. Check it out here

Thanks for the list! That sure helps alot! Do you know of any way to by-pass the dvdxcopy logo on the backup so it does not appear?

Nah, it's no biggie. I just hate the free advertising. If I pay for a product, I expect for them not to have there name all over the finished product. he he

Anyone using the 1.4.x with a A04? It won't even attempt to burn, tried using the default engine and nero and it just throws up an error immediately after trying that says it finished but failed to burn. I remove and go back to 1.3.x and it works fine. Also, yes I fully paid for a retail copy.

Next I am trying for dear life to figure out how to backup Band of Brothers. It has 2 episodes per DvD and even with 1.3 it will not burn it. I don't think DvDxCopy handles the multiple episodes right and screws up its sizing. I wanted to see if it would work with 1.4, but can't b/c of above problem.

Any suggestions out there? thx
