trouble burning 2x with recordnow max
i recenlty got some ritek(2x) so that i can cut my burning time in half using recordnow max to do the job. when it's initializing the dvd it says 30:00+ minutes to complete but after the initialization is done and it starts burning the TOC file it goes up to 56 mins. as if it was burning the TOC file at 1x. when i bought the ritek 2x media it says that they can be burned at 2x if the pioneer firmware version is 1.32. i checked my pioneer drive and this is exactly what it is. has anybody has or had this problem or if they know how to fix it cause i would hate to burn at 1x knowing that i can burn 2x or if i wasted money on media that my firmware cant handle. any thoughts? thanx in advance!!!!

ooops.....hehe!!!
i guess i was drunk when i was reading the info on ritek. it seems that i wasnt paying attention to the info on ritek cause it clearly states .......can burn at 2x with firmware 1.31 and i have 1.32 so i guess im gonna get that firmware......boy is my face red...hahaha

hey paul, it worked!! i downloaded the firmware and installed it and the whole process took less than 10 secs.!! now im back at 1.31 and burning at 2x ...what a time saver
|

I had the same problem last week. I was using fw 1.40 and downloaded fw 1.31 and installed and I am now burning Riteks at 2x like they should be.
