cant play a back up :(
i got a new psx the other day cos there is something wrong with my old 1 (( no power going in to it )) anyway i got the ps-x-change 2 cd .. now when i try to play a back-up they just wont work the cd will start to turn and that's it .. it wont do anything .. all i get is a black pic on the tv ... and some funny sounds from the psx ... so i took the back-up round to a friends house to try there and it went fine ... so i come home and thought i would try another back-up cd .... and the same thing (( nothing ))
... up 2 now i havnt got 1 back up to work ... but they work fine on my friends psx ... i did everything it said in the lil book that come with the ps-x-change 2 and still got no luck ..... what i do is ... put the ps-x-change cd in to the psx .. hit the power button .... and let it go till the cd comes to a stop ... i take that cd out and put the back-up in ... then hit start ... the cd will start to turn ... and then it will make a funny sound .. and the tv will go blank ... thanks alot if any 1 can help me ... or just give me a clue on what to do .... thanks again

Off hand it sounds like a hardware problem, your psx doesn't sound like it's working properly.
You do have the spring/PVC tab holding down the door sensor porperly??? The PVC tab (PSone) has to be positioned just right, the spring (Playstation) is a lot more forgiving. |

yep i use the spring ... but it's a bit funny now .. cos my friend has got a mod-chip card ... it fits into the back on the psx just like the gameshark .... & ya get a spring with it .....anyway i give it ago on my psx and the back-ups work fine .... some 1 said i might need some codes to use with the ps-x-change cd .... but anyways thanks for the help .. i think my best bet is just to get the mod-chip card
