I have always used verbatim dics for my back ups and not had any problems, but when i record onto my new batch of dics (verbatim 40x CD-R 700MB crystal ) they copy ok, but when i check if the information is on the dics via my pc it says there is no data there. Although all the dics play perfect in the playstation. As anybody also come across this problem.
Are verbatims still the best for copying on?

Keep in mind that some brands tend to switch CD Factories for their CD-R media. Verbatim has always used the ones from Mitsubishi, which always worked well for PSX backups.

Have a look here to verify from which factory your 40x speed Verbatims are:
