read probs

Hi Guys!
I am using a Ricoh MP7080A.
I can read and burn from PS2 discs that are coloured, for example "Legends of Wrestling" which is blue, but original discs that are silver in colour just spin around, make a whirring sound and then stop ?
It will read ALL playstation 1 games with no problem at all ???

I believe you Ricoh is a cd burner correct? If so, it is not supposed to be able to copy your "silver backs." Games with a blue back are cd based games which is why you are able to copy them with your burner as well as your ps1 games(all are cd based). Anything other than a blue back, like silver, is a dvd based game which is why you can't copy it. This requires a dvd burner to make an exact copy.

Nope. You need a dvd burner.

Bighap, thanks mate, I have walked around a few PS2 stores and I can see what you mean. Some of the games are marked "CD Disk" the ones I can burn, And the others are marked "DVD Disk"
You have been a big help, thanks again
