Question 1 PS2 DVD game = 3 files (11).gi....whats that

Hello all, this is my first post in here so I hope Im putting it in the correct area. I am using RecordMAXNow and I love it except for one thing. Some DVDs, well most DVD Playstation games write 3 files on the hard drive. When I go to burn the image file , it looks like this

Metal Gear Solid.gi
Metal Gear Solid (11).gi
Metal Gear Solid (12).gi

I was told to burn the first one and the following ones will burn also, but that does not seem to work. Has anyone ever seen this. I know its more than likely something stupid Im doing , but I can take it

Eric

The Reason for the 3 files is +
If the game is over 2 Gb in size the Prog splits the image in to parts Normaly the first part being of 2.1 Gb

Hope this answers part of the question

Thanks a bunch, guys for the quick response. I am wondering if its the media I am using,,,,, but then again, I backed up Madded 2003 and it works fine,,, seems like whenever the 3 files are created, I have trouble. Now I did just install px 358 engine or something like that...not sure what that is or what it does, but someone told me to do it. I guess DVD-r is the media to use and I bought mine at office max ,, its called HYpermedia. BUt if one game works shouldnt they all work? Anyhow thanks to you guys who helped me out. and thanks for a great site. O by the way , what the hel is that px engine anyhow? As far as an error, it just doesnt boot up on the PSX2.

Some games will work with cheap media, some won't. Try some Verbatim, this should fix your problem. The px engine update upgrades your software to support the latest drives.

!!

Try these http://www.qtccdr.com/product-detail...7G%2D1X&unit=N . They work awesome for me. They are the white label princos. I don't burn coasters but maybe one in fifty. Work great for dvd movies too!! Hope this helps.

Hmmmm.... They might not be compatible with your burner. You might want to contact BG. I know he's used the white label princos before. He might know is they're compatible with your Sony.
