Exactly how do you make Xbox game backups?

How do you connect the Xbox to the PC? Do you need to install some sort of program on your PC to receive the data coming from the Xbox reading the disc? Do you need a +R burner or a -R?I'd like to know how this works.

You need a program called evolutionX to recieve the connection on yout xbox
You need a program called FlashFXP to make the connection from your PC
And I believe xbox can read both dvd-r/dvd+r media. DVD+r is more universal in dvd burners though.

So I need both programs running on my PC or do I run EvolutionX on my Xbox? Also, what kind of cable do you need to hook the Xbox to the PC?

sorry to bud in, this is my first post. Are most games on DVD disks which are to big for a CDR and if you found one that was small enough could you not download it with your DVD rom on the computer then burn to CDR? why do you need to hook it up to the PC? also can some one point me to a tutorial step by step on XBOX backups?

Thanks

All of the xbox games are put on dvd's, even if they can be put onto a cd. You need to ftp to your PC because xbox games can't be read in normal PC dvd-roms.

Here is a thread with links to some tutorials. I can't give you one huge tutorial because there are several proccesses involve in copying games.
