Problem with Nero burning Data CD-Rs

Hi there,
ich have the problem that when i burn a data CD-R with Nero all i get is a hardly readable Cd with an audiotrack on it.

I tried allready several suggested sollutions,
- uninstalled Via Busmaster driver
- disabled DMA for all drives of the second IDE Port
- installed new aspi Layer
- tried to burn really slow
- renamed SCSI1HLP.VXD

one lost CD-R for all those tries :-(

I would greatly appreciate any further suggestions. Please help me!

My system:
Win 98 SE
Nero 5.5.9.2
Liteon LTR 48125S

pri IDE MA HDD SL CD-ROM
sec IDE MA CD-RW SL LS-120

version 5.5.10.0
is now available for download at the nero site

You have probably tried this but here goes.

Try other programs such as Clone or CDRWin. If these fail then you can probably assume that it is a hardware error and not software.

Thanks for the suggestions, but so far it didnt help.

I have updated to current Nero but still the same.

I noticed that burning on RW with InCD/Nero works but that even copies from dataCD to CD-R do not work so its not a problem only with Multisession but with burning to CD-R in general.

Next i will try other burning software as you suggested well see what will happen.
