Neo 2.2 USB and PS2 Vers 30001?????

Ok I need some expert advice on anyone that has an older Version of PS2-30001 and using the Neo 2.2 Mod chip .I have the Sony DRU500-a Burner that uses Record now but it failed to burn 007 Nightfire .Do I need to patch my backups with a patch and if so how do I do it I used the Record Now guide in the forums ,I know there are experts out there please share any info you have with me Thank you very much.

It could be that the neo2.2 is about to claim another victim,(Your laser). Is this the only dvd-r backup you are having trouble with?? Do original dvd games play ok??
