DVD-RW not booting, Magic 3, is it my laser ?

Ver 4 PS2, Magic 3. Original DVD's boot. CD-R backups made with CloneCD boot. PS1 backups on qulity discs boot.

I backed up Gran Turismo 3 last night with my Pioneer 104 using RecordNow Max on a Maxell DVD-RW. I followed the tutoral to the "T".

My backup won't boot. The PS2 won't even recognize the dsic, it simply goes to the browser. I don't even get the red screen.

I had a NEO 2.5 for a bout a year. It saw light to moderate use.

What do you guys think ? Laser need calibration ? Maxell media not good enough ?

If you followed the guide correctly and booted correctly try a higher quality media like Verbatim or TDK. The laser might also have to be cleaned. Or you might have to recalibrate. I would try them in that order.
