firmware

i downloaded the firmware file for my pioneer dvr-104, but when i try to install it says:

modelname of kernelpart is not matched

0 drives updated


what does this mean and what can i do to make it work?

I use windows xp

Are you using the firmware update utility if you're trying to update the firmware from within windows.

You can download it from www.pioneer-eur.com.

i went to that site when i got that message.
still got 1.30

do i really need this firmware?
