magic2/3 probs /charlie
Hia Charlie did you get round to testing the couple of backups i sent you to test ive now tested all the backups that didn't work on magic 2 with a magic 3 and you guessed it they don't boot , but all boot flawlessly with messiah 1 & 2 my m8's got around 20 titles that don't boot with either magic 2 or 3 , as not bothering with games much ive got another 4 or 5 on top of the 2 i sent you that will not boot . Im still no further one discovering why as all these non booters are group releases's not games ripped by other source.Ive also been told that when fitting a magic series chip on a non gap version 4 it blows the board do you know ifs theres any truth in this . Can i also just add that the last time i posted a negative thread about the magics all holy hell broke loose so just to clear a few matters up the backups ive found not to boot don't boot with magics simple fact , as for the boards blowing this is a matter ive been told from a very good source these matters need to be addressed as ive fitted 100's of messiah chips without any probs but i was also told that the messiah 2 dose not work in the version 4 no gap bios as well but dosen't fu*k the board so please could you shed some light on these matters charlie

Yes - glad you posted because I didn't associate the envelope with you. GT3 rip works perfectly with Messiah 2. Resident evil rip hangs (black screen) after the 3 months later point in the storyline. I put that down to a faulty rip.
I can't comment on v4 no gap with Magic; but the Messiah 2 install guide contains a schematic for those BIOS connexions but no photo..

If you try the gt3 rip on magics 2/3 youll find it dosen't boot at all i think as well as the resi evil , also as ive said charlie there's quite a few more titles as well please post your findings when you have tested with magics

Will do. I'm having a 37 pin socket wired and fixed into one of my v7s. An Apple mod, a Mgic 2, Magic 3 and Messiah 2 will be each attached to a 37 pin plug so I can swap them round at leisure. This'll probably be done Monday.
