what is dvd9

hello i have herd a lot about dvd9 put i do not know exactly what it is. i herd the xbox uses dvd9 and i have herd dvd9 can not be copied so i am cinda confused

dvd 9 is basically a dual layered dvd. and no you can not do a straite copy of a dvd 9 as there are no comercially available dual layered burners. to my knowlege most xbox games are dvd 5 ie single layered dvd's 4.7gig or lower
to copy a xbox game you need a chipped xbox this has to be connected to a pc via a router. etc then you can copy the disc to your pc using a ftp programme there are dozens of posts of how exactley to do this.
i am new to this my self so you should go to the xbox forum and ask there.

thanks for answering and i did not realy want to know how to copy xbox games i was just wondering if they were dvd9. so thanks for telling me, and why is it not all chips will load dvd9 imports.

ps:
me and my brother are having a fight so maby someone can put a end to it i say ALL ps2 even v1 can read dvd9 he says only the newer one can help

I would have to agree with you on the dvd-9 and all PS2's....
My "OLD" V1 will read dvd-9 no problem....
Although, I do take care of it..... If the laser is in decent shape, it should read a dvd-9 Original.......
