Messiah 2 Pro installed!

After about 6 hours of doing my first ever mod I managed to get a working version 3 Pal modded with a Messiah 2 Pro!

Yes 6 hours is extensive, but the V3 Pal ps2 is a real bitch to mod with a messiah. All the later ones can do away with soldering direct to the CD controller chip. 8 adjacent legs is nasty to solder to :P

Anyways a few noobie questions.

1. Being in australia we are free to mod our devices for region free playback legally. Now I'm a little peeved non of the new mod chips do DVD region free. Is there any download/rip out there that I can burn myself to let me do DVD Region free?

2. Is there any max speed or minimum quality CDR media recommended? So far done 4 burns at max(6 speed, yeah i know the burner is ancient) which have all worked, but gonna get a 105 soon so would like to know what speed to burn CDR with that.

3. I'm using Prassi Primo DVD 2 to burn the CDs with. Is this not recommended? I also have Nero and CloneCD but I figure its just simpler if I burn both DVDs and CDs with the same app.

Thanks heaps!

btw - extremely relieved and happy with the Messiah 2 Pro! Just needs DVD region free

Sorry man but you havent read the rules of the forum.
You are not suppose to ask this kind of questions, and no one in the forum is stupid to take the responsibility to answer u.

The only thing that i can ensure u is that pal ps2 can play ntcs through action replay, region x. but ntcs consoles cannot play pal movies.

I have a 32x duplicator which as it gets older is getting less reliable - Time to fit a HDD & slow down to the 20x I use with clone.

Oh sorry about question 1 there. Like I said, me being in Australia its legal for us to mod consoles and DVD players so that we can play legally bought DVDs and Games from other countries. Sony even lost a court case here about it.

I have an old teac scsi 6x burner, I used prassi to make global images of 4 of my original games, Fifa2001, gauntlet, super bust-a-move and Timesplitters. All 4 of them worked, but I'm guessing you are saying the newer CD games do not back up properly?

Thanks

BG is on a distinguished road
Try and get a newer cd burner that is 100% Clone CD compatible... You can check to see if it is HERE!

As Dust says, don't use the A05 for cd backups, it doesn't read the sub-channel data. (A Clone CD compatible drive will).

When you get the A05, it should come with RecordNow Max.... USe it.... The A05 is not recognized by Primo... RecordNow Max is basically identical to Primo anyways.....
