Please Help

I HAVE A PS2 THAT IS ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD AND I AM STARTING TO HAVE SOME REAL TROUBLE WITH IT READING THE DISCS. COMES UP DISC READ ERROR. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO! PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE!
