ps2 cd backups-I need help!!!

wassup! I got a problem, I'll start with the basics.

I got V7 with magic 2. I've installed it twice now to make sure it is correct. I believe it is because originals play fine. Ps1 backups on memorex cd-r play fine. I use cdrwin, but have tried nero and clonecd also with all the settings recommended from the tutorials and slow read and write speeds. I use Lite on LTR 40125S. I've tried the correct boot procedures 100 times. Plastation 2 is only two weeks old and works flawlessly on originals and ps1 backups. I have tried to backup madden 2002, nfl gameday 2001, and tekken tag. I get red screen every time. All are non playable whether I'm doing something wrong on burn or boot I could'nt tell ya. Any advice or questions would be greatly appreciated, I'm tryin to figure this out so I can move on to DVD backups. Thanks

Always used Clone CD for your cd based backups.....

How are you trying to boot the PS2 cd based backups?

All you have to do to boot them is to put the cd in the tray, close the tray and press reset once...They should boot.....

ps2 back up

make sure your lite-on has the lastest firmware a new firmware
has just been released (zsop) i have the same lite-on you can read at 48x & burn at 40x with lastest clone or use diskjuggler 4
use game settings for clone & d/j use copy cd from same burner
just use default settings read then write form lite-on also the new firmware enables reading of new protection on audio cds

hey man...also another thing that I heard was that if you have multiple burning software it might mess eachother up.....

In other words you might have to only have 1 cd burning software on your cpu......

Honestly, I prefer Prassi......it is really easy...but just my preference....

Thats bull, I have many different kinds of burning software on my pc. I have no problems using any of them. I only use Stomp for ps2 dvd and CloneCd for ps2 cdr.

tylerdurden....

I actually had cdrwin, nero, and easy cd creator, and had problems burning until I deleted all 3 then reloaded cdrwin only..........I had no problems after that at all......But then again I never tried to install the other 2 again.....so maybe it could have all worked.....

Actually come to think of it.....I never had problems until after I installed easy cd creator.......

The only time you get problems is when you install Adaptec direct cd with other burning software.Fuctup, your burner is compatable with clone cd so ditch the cdrwin, Try burning with it on good media. I never had much luck with memorex cd-r, especially the BLACk ones.
