ADAPTEC? NO, I have been struggling with Hitman all weekend and have finally made a backup with clone cd, but it only runs from my cd writer and not my cd rom, wierd.
Any way, heres a small suggestiion if its just a personal backup your making, do a full install, use a no cd patch from gamecopyworld.com and then burn the install directory from disc CD, not forgetting to include any vital registry entries with your crack or patch file. when you need to reinstall the backup, just copy the files from CD to Hard disk and dont forget to double click the registry entries to re-enter them. Its a stupid way to do things but hey it works for me..... |

Thanks Duckers... I haven't actually tried to burn anything SD2, but from what I've heard, its a freakin' nightmare! I'll run it through CCD and see if anything works. If it turns to poop, I can always toss a crack on there. Bummer... I always thought of crack in tems of a plumber's ass or glass pipes... Not a good thing.

Everyone has an opinion on how to beat it. I seem to hear CloneCD most often. I actually made a backup of NOLF (SD2) after some fooling around. I set CloneCD on "read subchannel data from audio track" and "don't report read errors" (to save a huge error log) and let it go to work. It took a long time, but I got a good copy. I don't have any other SD2 games, so I can't try it on anything else. Hopefully this will be useful.
btw I've got a 4x4 hp 8200 series burner |
