EvolutionX problem

Ive have a few versions of EvolutionX. I have an Enigmah mod chip. When I burn the evolutionX image to CD-RW with Nero 5.5.9.0 it doesnt boot up. It just stays at the startup screen and the evo-dash doesnt appear. Can anyone help me.

I have other xbox game images that I have downloaded and when I burn them to CD-RW they work fine. Its just EvolutionX that doesnt work...*&%$#@!.

Also can the person who installed the mod chip on my xbox stop me from using EvolutionX!!!

first off, can your xbox read games on cd-rw's? Some xbox's tend to be picky about media, but very rarely it won't play cd-rw's.

second, do you use a program like Xiso to create an image, then burn it? If not, this might be the problem. I've tried burning the data strait to a cd-rw, and xbox won't read it. If your PC reads what is on the cd-rw, then you burned it wrong.

Third, are the files that you burned called:
default.xbe
menu.ini (or) evox.ini
a folder called "skins" (only in the newer version)

These files are needed for it to run.

and to answer your last question, no, the xbox cannot be rigged to not load up evolutionX.

Quall999 thanks for the information and just one more question when get evolutionx and u extract it from the rar file do u include the folder which comes with the rar or just the files within the folder eg. evox.ini, default.xbe, skins and bios folders.

the "bios" folder isn't needed. Oh yah, do you have any skins inside the skin folder?

I also had this problem rescently when I booted it from another xbox. I think it's the iso image. I used the xboxisotoolkit to make an iso and the xbox just hung. So I used Xiso and burned it with nero, it worked fine.
