How do I know if I use CD-r or DVD-r (NEWBIE)
I have a version 4 playstation and the no-solder chip with Gameshark2. I am a newbie at this so I need to know which CD (cd-r or dvd-r) I have to use with which game. Is there a list that shows which games I have to use a DVD-r. I don't want to "rip" (which I read in this forum) any game. I want to back-up everygame fully. I don't want to miss out on any parts of the game. Is there some Games I can't play even if I copy perfectly? I am currently using the nero burning room program to burn cds. Thank you very much

If the back of the game is blue than you use a cd-r. If the back of the game is gold or silver than you use a dvd-r. If you have a cd-r burner, check here to see if its CloneCd compatible. If so, use CloneCd to back up your cd based games. For dvd based games use PrimoDvd. You can download PrimoDvd and read the CloneCd and PrimoDvd tutorials here

most games also tell you on the case and disc what format they are - CD-Rom or DVD-Rom
Follow bighap's advice on burning programs, CloneCD or PrimoDVD
