DVD backups with Ace Key
The instructions for booting up a DVD backup say that an error will occur saying "too many codes..." I don't get this error! The (original DVD) game just starts up!
If I select another game on AR2 V2 and activate 100's of codes, I get the error, but AR2 V2 locks up and I can't return to the main menu! This is all very frustrating! Thanks for your time. P.S. The game being reffered to is GTA - Vice City

Are you using the Dave Mirra code or another game code in the ar2 menu?

The steps I take to load DVD backup...
Boot up PS2 loading AR2 V2, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 is default game selected (62 codes, 62 active), select "start game", select "with codes", press eject twice, swap with an original DVD game, wait for green light, press "x" to start game, ORIGINAL DVD GAME STARTS!!! I tried selecting other games other than Dave Mirra (having 100's of active codes), but when I get the "too many codes..." error, I can't go back to the menu to select "start without codes" ???

Have you been able to boot any dvd backups?
(Try using another original besides GTA Vice City) Also when you choose another code and you get the message you said it locks up, if you press circle twice, will it take you back to the menu then or does it just stay locked?

Thank you very much!
I did it how you advised, except I started "without codes" as the game crashed once running using "with codes" I now have to kill my brother for giving me a NTSC copy instead of PAL! (runs b&w and scrolls really fast up the screen). Again, ta very much for your help!
