Problems overburning with Nero

I'm trying to burn a 654MB video file to a 74min CD-R but Nero (version 5.5.6.4) keeps telling me there's not enough space to burn the compilation to the medium. I have DAO enabled, overburning enabled, and the latest firmware for my Matsu****a CW-7586 burner but the stupid program keeps ejecting the CD (with the aforementioned error message) and won't let me overburn!!! plz help!!!

Now let's think of it for a sec from Nero's point of view:

"There's this guy who tries to burn a 654MB video. And he uses the 74min CD. Now I try to warn him, that overburning may be unhealthy, and although possible is generally not recommended. Of course 80min CDs are now so common and available in any store, that sometimes it's harder to find a 74min CD, but that stupid dude just keeps putting in the damn 74min CD!"

What I'm trying to say is why not use a 80min/700mb CD and save all the trouble?
