Nero & Plex 24x =Max Burning, but I get seek ERROR when overburing Uh?
Need HELP....
I have been trying to burn anything over 715 megs with my new Plextor 24/10/40A burner, and I have not been able to do so. First I tested my burner with Feurio and it says it can burn up to 83.59.10mins (~736megs) with it on the maxel cd I had. The problem is I like Nero, and feurio will only burn one type of ISO format. Nero goes through the burn and then at the end gives me a seek error. I have updated all aspi drivers, and have the newest version of Nero. Does anyone have this setup and can help me? I need to know The following... Will Maxel, and verbatum 80min CD's work to get the full 736 megs? Also what settings do I need to change, besides activating overburning, and DAO mode. Also DO I need to use another buring program to get the space I want. What I'm burning I need to keep all the files names as they are, so Feurio will not work. I heard that a 16x plexwriter gets 736 megs, so I'm sure the 24x can also. ...THX... |

Is it an original game/music CD sized over 700megs? That's quite unusual.
I'd stay away from overburning at all costs, unless it's absolutely necessary. Recently I've seen some CD-Rs with 90min/780MB capacity. Theoretically that would do the trick, but I don't know what recorders and programs support them, if any, and whether they are readable on the average CD-ROM. Not much help, I know. Sorry. |

No the CD is not an orginal.
Its actually a Divx movie. That I know can be overbured with a plex 16x. The problem is i don't know how. I do not wanna mess around with 99min cd-r's. I just want to overburn on a few 80min disc's that I have. I know that the 99min ones are not supported by most players etc. There is a presedure to overburn correctly, I just need to know what it is. Feurio reports I can get past 81mins so what do I do to get that? |

Does anyone know what I can do to get my discs to overburn? What type of media do you use to get max burning, and what settings have I missed? IS there another prog besides Nero that could be better at overburning? Any help would be great.. THX
