trouble finding progs
hi
i have one of the newer dreamcasts that doesn't play cdrs...i tried using the megagames.com dc bootdisk work around for the non-cdr ones...but a problem arrived when i needed to get the programs mkisofs or cdrecord-tools....and i can't find a working program of mkisofs or cdrecord-tools...well i got both programs but they don't have executables or a file named mkisofs to work with in dos/command...it might be that i don't know how to use the program but i don't really know what i'm supposed to do now and am really confused....can anyone help? a working link? tips? comments? thanks |

You have to run these programs in a DOS window.
Try to make a batch file or just get one from megagames.com. You can edit it to set your parameters. |

well the problem is i don't know which file to change the parameter too...even in dos mode u still need something to run on that it can read...usually an executable or some kind of package file...but all i see are some no extension files and some c header or c related files...don't know what to do with them...and i don't know how to make a batch file either...so i'm kinda stuck here....i did find an exe file for mkisofs labeled make.exe and used that under dos but came with an error labeled 16 bit ms-dos subsystem........
the error being c:\windows\system32\command.com the NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:06b8 IP:015c OP:63 65 20 66 6f |

I see. You download the code, you need the executable.
Have a look at DC Boot utilities : http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_utils_bootcd.shtml You should find everything you need in a package or another. |
