Frezzing PS2 DvD back ups

Why are my Superman and US Navy Seals Back ups frezzing at the starting screen.

They load just fine then nothing. is it a back up issue? or a PS2 issue?

Should i waste my time and money backing them up 2nd time or will i have the same problem ?

A few questions first;

What model of PS2 do you have and modchip installed;
What kind of DVD-R media are you using and burner;
What types of software are you using to copy the games;

Okay, then we can try and help you out.

I have a Pioneer A04, Using Pioneer and Apple DVD-Rs, Primo DVD software from PSXWORLD, a Version 4 PS2 and a Neo mod chip utilizing a GS2 swap.

Is your Modchip a Neo2.2 or Neo4 ?

What DVD game are you using to swap?. As you need a original DVD based game with a TOC size greater than the copy your trying to boot. DMC demo is a good game to use well over 4Gb, also GTA3 as i used to use GTA3 when i had my Neo4 never failed me once. It's sounds to me that this might be the problem. The media your using is fairly decent, try burning them @1X though with primo to see if that helps. Also try Verbatim dvd-r's as they never fail me at all.

Hope this helps!

it is a Neo 2.2.

Someone told me in another forum to use Onimusha but after buying (50.00 Out the window) it it still does not work.

i am booting right now with a Final Fantasy Demo but it is only 3.8.

Where do you find the DMC Demo?

I had problems with Spiderman and Stuntman

Spiderman locks up on loading and Stuntman used to lock up after loading the main game but when it tries to runs the video footage it locks.

I reburnt Stuntman at x1 speed that appears to have worked ok after that.

But Spidy is still being a pain in the backside even after burning at x1 speed. It got further but locks up on loading.

For your reference I am using Memorex DVD's.
