Clony and CloneCD, Whats the deal?

Ok,

This is the deal with me. I have been a using clonecd and clony for some time now, and I think they both do a great job. I am now a little surprised with the lack of response from them. I have clony xxl v2.0.0.6 and it doesn't pick up anything on new games. I have read that people were able to read securom v2 on it, for instance on warcraft 3, but mine can't. This is bugging me and I was wondering where I could find a newer/better version. I appriciate the help.

On to the next issue. CloneCD has almost never let me down, but now it hasn't been impressing me. I have not been able to copy new games such as warcraft 3, and GTA3. I am using an old version of CloneCD, 3.4 to be exact, and that may be part of the problem. I have heard that 4.1.xxx is good, but I have no experience. I didn't like it as much because I couldn't choose the settings for game copying. If anyone could give me pointers I would appriciate it.

The next question I had was to do with burners. I have a Liteon 2410B5S54, which some call 2410B, and I was wondering if it is still good with burning discs. I have read that the LG GCE8320B is good, and was wondering if I should upgrade to that.

Maybe my answer isn't that great help.

1) Your writer is still okay (after all, it is a "two-sheep" writer).
There's no reason to waste money! Have you ticked the right
options?

2) The problem with securom2 ("new") is, that it can only be
recognized reliably (?) when it is installed. Tried this option?

Ya, thanks for the burner info, but what about the ticks. What should I have checked? LIke fast error skip ect. Also is there a new version of clony out that detects securom v2.0 and safedisk v7.x.xxx.

all i have is dvd rom and a cd writer can i still burn games if so where can i read how to do it cause when i try i get some msg that i cant burn it someone please help me thanx

Concerning the right options you should have done a search. Have a look here, to find out the correct settings for protected CDs.

ONCE AGAIN, there is no new vesrion of clonyxxl, as far as I know. Securom2 can only be identified when the application is installed.

this seems to doing it all for ok @ the moment its fired off soldier of fortune 2 and medal of honour with no probs and needs for no cd crack ...have u tried this ?

Thanks for the Clony information. I didn't catch it in your other post. About MOHHA: I successfully burned that easily with 3, but havn't tried 4 so I will try that soon, thanks. Thanks sooo much for your help Mr. Burns, and sorry if I irritated you. I had searched for securom and all of them only said "have the right boxes clicked". Thanks a bunch. As for that question if that one person could still burn with a dvd drive and a burner, sure. You are probably using CDRWIN and it says that there is a copy protection on it and therefore cannot burn it. Try using CloneCD and clony xxl. You should be able to. What type of burner do you have?
