Help for GTA3

Hi, i installed GTA3 but when i try to play it I get two error messages... here they are....

c:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\gta3.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning.

and...

the D3D8.DLL file is
linked to the missing exprt DDRAW.DLL

dEntry12.

I am running it on Windows 98. It is the original CD, not a copied version. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Long shot here, try reinstalling the latest drivers for your graphics card and install the latest version of Direct X, 8.1.

sounds like it might be a system error too.

Has it been a while since u've installed windows ?

Might have some type of virus or somethign of the sort that messed your system up.
