I thought you can play dvd backups with only a modchip. Wasn't evoX just used to copy the dvd's to your PC?

my problem is tha I baked up a game but when inserted in xbox it will go directly to the evox menu and not recognice the burned dvd-r ,, should I just remove the evox software and bring the xbox back to original status, will it recognice the burn dvd-r then.

hmm, i checked evoX's web page and the guide wasn't finished, so maybe the message boards have something to say. Anyways, I think version 1.3 is out, and it fixed that problem. I have no idea where to get it though
If you can't get it to work, flashing the original xbox bio's will work, as long as you have a modchip (one with the "eject trick" is prefered). Accually, the only reason you really need to flash evoX to the xbox, is to replace the hard-drive. If you burn evo-X to a cd-rw, you can still backup games without flashing the original bios.
