DDR 3rd Mix
I bought this import recently, DDR 3rd Mix, and assumed I would be able to play it on my ps1 since I had a mod device and had played another import game in the past on it. I am very newbish to this whole thing so please bear with me. I e-mailed the guy I bought the game from and he suggested PSXchange boot disk to me, so I got that...also didnt work. With both methods I got a screen that said, 'Software Terminated. Console may have been Modified.' I went to the website given by the maker of PSXChange: megagames.com; I found a 'patch' for the game along with a gameshark code that is supposed to, from what I understood from the site, allow me to play the game with a mod device. I have now tried the code and tried the patch and neither seem to work for me. I used CDRWin to make the image and cue files from the game as was suggested by megagames's site and I followed the patch instructions. However when I patched I got a msg about the bin file not being the expected size and was asked if I wanted to continue. I tried it anyway to no avail. If anyone has any information that could help please reply, thanks.

Somewhat easy fix, if you have a gameshark laying around (or you can use your PS-X-Change to enter gameshark codes by pushing select (I believe) then put in this code
D00C1998 FF52 800C19A2 1000 D00C42D8 10BA 800C42CE 1000 D00C3B60 E9A0 800C3B5A 1000 D0029344 A4D5 8002933A 1000 D0029364 A4DD 8002935A 1000 And then the game should work ![]() You can find these codes which are called enable codes (that kill the modchip detection) at http://www.cmgsccc.com/psxi/index.php (that's the import section) Enjoy! |

I tried this code earlier and it didnt work for me, still doesnt. The sites where I have found this code, all of them so far, have listed this code as for Dance Dance Revolution 3rd REMIX and not 3rd MIX. I dont know if there is a difference...
Also I have read just about everything on this forum concerning DDR at this point and nothing so far has specifically addressed my problem. My PS is a model SCPH-5501 NTSC U/C and DDR 3rd Mix says NTSC J on the back. I have tried Importplayer already and it doesnt run the game either. If there is anyone out there who has DDR 3rd Mix and has got it to work properly on their PS or someone who has another suggestion on how to get this to work please post here, thanks. |

I have burned 2 coasters using CDRWIN so far. First time I made the image using CDRWIN and then patched though PPF-o-Matic. The second attempt I once again made the image using CDRWIN and then patched using a DOS command prompt box. Using both DOS box and PPF-o-Matic I get the msg: The size of the image file is incorrect, continue?
This is where I am concerned there is a problem...however the patch IS for the game, so I am confused. In the zip file I downloaded containing the patch it had two pictures, the back and front covers of the game. Sure enough, they match up exactly to what I have. So unless there just isnt a working patch for this game or CDRWIN has made the BIN file incorrectly two times now, due to some fault of mine or it, I can think of no other reason why it shouldnt work. I am about ready to buy an import Playstation, which humerously enough seems to cost less than DDR 3rd Mix. A03 - By saying, 'it works for me,' were you saying that you have actually burned this particular game? Or that it works in general for you? If the former is true I would be interested to know if you had the same error while patching. I dont think it actually patches the game when I choose to go ahead with the patch because it doesnt give me the option to undo the patch, i.e. the undo box is still greyed out. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks |
