Angry Final Fantasy IX Code No SLES-02965

Hey guys,
Im trying to do a backup of Final Fantasy IX Uk Pal but with stuff all success. 5 disks down and ive tried everything from the avalable patches on this site to different techniques. But its gets as far as the crack then goes all black!!! obviously the patch isnt working!!!

So how does one go about getting the patch to backup this awsome game. Or is there a way or program which alows a straight copy to work successfully?

can anyone help. frustrating isnt the word id use but its driving me nuts.. Any idea's folks?

Ive tried using the patches with cdrwin 3.9A ... my reader and writter are ATAPI CD-R/RW 4x4x32. I also have a philips cdrw 400 at my disposal too if that helps....

Cheers CAsp.........

ok ive also got the pal uk version and have copied it sucessfully. first of all, make sure you got the right patch for it. it should be the pal uk version crack. anyway if you do all that right and it still doesnt work then it could be that you are using crap quality cdrs. you should go for verbatim or tdk. and also you should try to write at a slower speed such as 1x or 2x.

if that all fails than you are in trouble because i just checked the clone cd data base (clone cd can copy just about anything you throw at it) and that phillips 400 is not compatible. anyway if all else fails, get a friend to copy it or just buy a new writer, they are pretty cheap these days.

good luck

CHeers for the help.
I havent tried it yet but hopefulyl Ill get this thing done!! Is the Uk patch on this site? I know the one Uk patch i did get from this site has a +13trainer in the patch and the last time i tried with that it gets to the crack then dies? Or is it avaliable somewher else. Ive searched for any other uk patches but they all seem to be the same file...

Btw The philiphs 400 works fine with clone cd!! Thats what i use to do all my backups.. it can read audio and subdata tracks no problem at all...

I need to win lotto so i can build a new machine lol anyone know the winning numbers while im here??

Cheers m8!!

you also must select "dont repair sub channel data" when burning with clonecd otherwise the game will not work. one last thing, if you are using clonecd then you cant use patches, if you want to have trainers(cheats) on your game then use cdrwin.

good luck m8

Same Problem

I have the same problem. I've got the original FF IX cd and the Hooligans-Trainer patch, but when I try to run it in ePSXe, the emu crashes

Maybe this version isn't copyable (SLES-02965)
