I had a game that was a PAL version,I used some PAL/NTSC conveter I found in the PS2 tools section to switch it to NTSC but when I booted up the game it was in black in white? Do I need some kind of Y-Patch fix or something??? If so where can I get it? If not what do I need to do?
Thanks for any help in advance.....

Normally when games from other regions play in black and white, your TV is not compatible with that region. If it is totally incompatible, it will flicker aswell due to the different frequencies.
A PAL/NTSC converter should have fixed this if it was applied right. All the Y position does is move the screen up or down, not the colour. The easiest way to get round these issues is to use scart leads which can play colour regardless of region. |

I know what you mean about the screen flickering.....that has to do with a game displaying at 50hz or 60hz..........I've had that problem before....but thats not the case with this game. It's just in black and white......It's perfectly clear and centerd properly.
So is there no hope?

You need to convert the game from PAL to NTSC using a patch..
Given that Patch/s exist for that certain game or games.. |
