Newbie that needs lots of help...

Need Help! I am brand new to all of this and I need all the help and advice that one can give. I have bought the game shark and the chip, now I need to know how to backup PS2 games? I have no idea what programs to use or where to get them? Do I have to have a DVD writer or is a plain burner fine? Any and all help would be most helpfull. Make sure you put it in lame terms. I'm no pro.... hehehe... Thanks again for any and all help.

For PS1 and PS2 CD format games CDR drive and for PS2 DVD formats DVD-R drive(Pioneer preferred)..
