Nero Burning Problems!! =(

Hi, First Thanks for reading this and have in mind to help me with my problem =D. Ok On to the problem. I tried to make a backup of Pocket Fighter but everytime I do, it stops at the boot screen, ( The black playstation logo) Anyways. I followed the directions given here and psxcopyworld.co.uk and I still got the same thing. Also, I heard this unusual beep when I tried to load the backup copy. I have a mod chip installed, and I am using TDK 650 MB CD-R's. Here are the Nero settings I used.

Read at 1x
Burn at 1x
Unselected On the fly copy
Burn Image first
Force Raw Reading on both data modes
Write Uncorrected on both data modes
Ignore Illegal Table of Contents
Read Media Catalog Number
Read Audio data with sub channel
Ignore Read erros
Retries set to 10

Basically, I followed the directions given here at gamecopyworld.com. Anyways, if anyone can help me with this problem, I would greatly appreciate it
Thanks =D

DLui126, have you ever made any other backups? Did THEY work?

I have NERO but don't use it for backups. Try CloneCD and it's free for a couple of weeks. Why not give it a try. While you're on their page take a look at compatibility page. If your burner is not supported by the program then you could try many others like CDRWin,etc. But make sure that these porgs support your burner. Otherwise try to get a new or used one that works with them.

Good luck

EE

Hi, I have an Acer Cd-Rw 4x write, 4 rewrite, and 32 read. I also tried using clone cd following the directions given on www.psxcopyworld.co.uk and it still didn't work. Any other suggestions? Nero 5.5 Does support my burner =D. Is there something I'm missing?

Bad Exp. with TDk's.....

Not sure if it is your problem or not, but I had some bad luck with some TDK CDR's I got from Circuit City earlier this year. In a 50 pc. spindle, I lost 8 disc's that just wouldn't even read so I could burn them in the first place, and 6 went fubar a few months after I burned them. The sad thing is I was using them on the PC--not my console.

You may want to see if you can get your hands on some other media--maybe some Verbatim DataLife? I've been doing well with some 24X Maxell (650 and 700MB sizes)

Good Luck!

Hi m8
Don't think its got anything to do with the media or the original disc, its the acer re-writer that has the problem.
I had one myself for a while and although it is listed as being supported by clone it can not read sub-channel data/audio.(which you need for backing up psx's)
The writing side is ok though ,so you have the option of changing your reader for one that will read sub-channel ,but as most systems have dvd's nowdays you have to find one that reads sub.(The only ones i have found are Toshiba & Lite-on)
As far as backing up psxs with nero,i think it you should be looking at getting you machine clone compaterble as i've found this to be the best proggy for psx.
Hope this helps somewhat

burning a cd game using nero

Hi
I have tried several times to burn a copy of Ape Escape using
Neror 5 cd clone and easy cd creator 5 platinum and in each case
I find that when I run it it gets as far as the start game menu then it wont load. I checked both the disks and they have the same information on them however the copy seams to have about 1 mb more than the original
