No One Lives Forever

I'm trying to backup "No One Lives Forever" for PC. I tried to use Nero 5.5 to do a CD Copy. It wasn't able to read the CD. I was able to install and play the game with my CD-Rom though. Anyone know what's the problem??? Thanks!!!

I think I got a HP 7100 internal CD writer with Nero 5.5.

Exclamation How to backup N.O.L.F.

Hi,

the copy protection of nolf is only in the launcher. The only thing you have to do after install (and applying all needed patches) is to write a .bat-file that calls lithtech.exe with all needed .rez-files as parameters.

Now pack the whole directory in one big archive (with winace and best compression its about 422 meg) and burn it on a CD - voila.

Run your batch file to start nolf. No cd needed anymore. To clarify the subject, I've attached my batch file.

Cheers,
Schlaufer

P.S.: This works with other lithtech-based too (like AvP2).
