Question about PS2 backups

What's the best proggie to make a strait up 1:1 copy of a PS2 game? I've got a Sony DRU110A/C1 DVD+RW/CD-RW internal EIDE
burner. Also, what are some recommended DVD-r brands. Can the PS2 read DVD-R/-RW & DVD+r/+RW?

+R/+RW Doubtful

I don't know for sure, but everything I've read so far points to the DVD-R/DVD-RW format. The +RW format isn't very popular these days.

As for 1:1 copies, the best you'll get is a copy without the boot info--you should get your box chipped to boot them. The most popular prog's out there are CloneCD and CDRWIN--both because you may have to patch some PSX or Anti-Mod Protected games, CDRWIN is best for that--and Prassi Primo DVD.

Seen alot of posts where people using Pioneer, Apple, and Princo. Just make sure it is good quality media. That bargain brand "General Use Only" may/may not work, but as I understand most higher end brand names will. Sometimes you can get the details on the reflectivity AFTER writing (always high before writing them). I think the desired rating is over 65%.

Good Luck!

You've obviously not followed the first rule of the forum - SEARCH!!

I don't fancy your burner for the PS2.
