Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings back up?

I am trying to back up Age Of Empires 2: Age of kings using clonecd without success.

I have a Mitsumi CR4801TE burner which supposedly has everything needed to copy such games but each time I use it with the suggested settings (pretty much used them all in different combinations) it reads it and burns it OK but the created disk wont work at all. (ie it ownt register when inserted into the drive)

ANyone backed up this game and can offer any suggestions?
