can anyone help me?
i am running an athlon tbird 900, with winXP pro. I am experiencing a continuing error whilst trying to backup some of my game cd's. I have the latest firmware for my burner (a yamaha 2100e), i'm pretty sure i have the latest ASPI drivers, and definitely the latest copies of cloneCD and Clonyxxl. I have disabled the IMAPI setting in winxp. CloneCD burns about 10% of the disc and then gives me the following error msg: HARDWARE ERROR: NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION (4:0 X 08:0 X 03) and then it spits the disc out as an unsuccessful burn. It shits me because it worked perfectly once on one of my old games (shogun) and now does this all the time. can anyone out there help me? |

If it says "HARDWARE ERROR:" it means its your burner not your drivers or clonecd. In short it means you have a crap burner. If you want to backup new games get a new burner, consider a Plextor as they will burn anything.

dont consider a plextor as it will not burn everything
also, try uninstalling - reinstalling your drive. see if it can burn with another program. maybe re-install clone. dont jump to conclusions about the drive yet ....it burned SOMETHING, right?
