DVD Multi Region CD problem
I downloaded the file DVD_Multi_Jap.zip but the instructions aren't easy to understand. I have an ar2 with a jap ps2 model SCPH-15000 using utility disc 1.01. I burnt using the .cue file and it all burnt to cd and stuff. Just how exactly am I supposed to load it it using ar2? Do I load it like how I load a normal ps2 backup? Cos I tried that and it didn't load. You know, like bootup with ar2 cd, then goto start game, without codes, then put that cd in and start it, but nothing happens when it starts loading. Can someone give me a step by step on how to load the multi region dvd hack that i burnt so I can load dvds from all regions. I'm confused about the Jap patch that I need, which patch is that? I can't use the applyppf without knowing which patch heh. If someone can help me I'd really appreciate it. Right now I can play ps1 originals and backups, ps2 originals and backups and dvd-rips, but I can only play certain dvd regions [i think it was 3 or something]. Oh yeah, there were two files I found, DVD_Multi_Jap.zip and DVD-unlock-jap.zip. There was another one also called DVD-unlock-pal.zip. Someone please give me a step by step from the very beginning from burning to loading, or at least how to load it exactly so I can figure out if I am doing it the wrong way or what. Thanks
![]() Here is the instructions which came with the DVD_Multi_Jap.zip: DESCRiPTiON: ------------ This LEGAL "homebrew" CD image allows you to swap it with your AR2/GS2 CD when loading it, and then (once it's loaded) simply place your DVD title in your PS2 (any region)... and it will play! This also patches green screen protection, so you can view films via scart lead. READ THESE NOTES BEFORE USE! ---------------------------- Note #1: This LEGAL "homebrew" CD does *NOT* require a "dongle" itself, however it DOES require that you have a regular PS2 memory card inserted for it to work and an AR2/GS2 CD (with dongle inserted) to swap with. Note #2: NO-MOD PS2 console owners should be aware that the system.cnf is already moved to LBA 12231 in this CD image for booting without a mod-chip. Note #3: JAP PS2 console owners should be aware that you *MAY* need to patch the JAP image with PDX/STATiC patcher for JAP games. FiNAL NOTE: If you are having trouble booting this image with your original AR2/GS2 CD, you may want to try the "EA Method" when booting this image CD as some have better luck this way. |
