Thumbs down CloneCD disabled options?

I recently installed cloneCD and it gave me a message when i installed it that certain features will be disabled... How do I get around this?

Cause I think its the reason why I cant seem to back up Gran Turismo cd's... I can make the ISO's and burn the CD's fine... but when I try to play them in my playstation (with a mod chip), it only shows a credit screen and the "legal stuff" screen and then before the title screen loads, it goes black and the CD in the playstation makes sounds like its stoping and starting again and again...

Any help would be appreciated... I'm a newbie too btw...

Hi m8ty
Need a little bit of info from you m8ty,like where you are in the world and what's the puter you have and the make and model of your reader and re-writer.
But the disabled function you are talking about is "amplify weak sectors" which is a feature of safedisc v2 protection (they put weak sectors on the disc so when you attempt to back up the re-written section is too weak for you laser to read thus game does not run)
The actual backing up of psx games does not require this function (psx/libcrypt protection) is all about sub-channel data & audio, you reader has to be able to read it,and you writer write it . (check www.elaborate-bytes.com for a reader-writer compaterbility list)
Just one last note though, if you want to enable the "amplify weak sectors" then if you in the US then go into you region settings on your puter and set it for 'canada' or if in UK set for 'ireland' cos there are no recognised copyright laws in these countries, then change back when your done.
Hope this helps somewhat?

Hi again
Just a after thought m8
I presume like many peaple nowdays that you have a dvd in you computer for reading then that's where your problem may lie.
Cos there are only a very few dvd's that will read sub-channel data and they are Toshiba,Lite-on these are the only one's i know of at the mo that are supported to do this even though they will be on the clone compaterbility list.
So use you re-writer (if it's not a combo) to read and write,or get your self another dvd as above.
Goodluck m8ty

I have a custom built 433 celeron 128 RAM Abit be6-2 motherboard... My CDRW is a 32x12x40x Optorite CD-Writer... And i can select the Raw DAO option in cloneCD... And I dont have a DVD player...

And I checked the compatible cd writers and mines on it...
