Nero to Back-up and Black CDRs

I have 2 questions that I can't seem to find an answer for.

#1. If I use Nero to back-up my EA games, will they only work with the EA Boot Method or do I have to use CDR-WIN with a patch?

#2. I've noticed new CDRs with a black surface. Would they be any better for my PS2? What colour should I be looking for? Blue? Silver? Gold?

u got it about right
if they have extra protection nero wont burn them(95%are not protected)
same with cdrwin (nut u can patch ones dont work

best option is clonecd or blindread/blindwrite then u not have to patch any

cdr its not so much colour but quality
most cdr r ok nowadays if recorded at reasonable speed
tried tested well rated brands r verbatims tdk sony traxdata
best and cheapest which i use is unbranded princo (uses special dye) pop one in something that wont read cdr u got good chance this will work
ps1/2 bad lasers cant read verbatim()no1 rated) pop in princo it reads great
www.121cdr.co.uk only 20p each no case
or verbatims availabel 40p with case
