newbie & boot cds

Hi to everyone, I'm an happy new PS2's owner and I've a lot of questions for you.
I hearded about a spectacular cd, called boot CD, that is able to read backup games...
Is this a fake? I downloaded an ISO made of 2 files: iph-bcdr.cue and iph-bcdr.bin and I've burned them with cdr-win with all options unchecked
Where is the mistake? I'm wronging the burning or is this ISO that's a fake?

Really I need the mod-chip? I hope not

Thank U,
BLuez

There is no such thing as a boot CD for the PS2, you will need a chip. The Messiah is the best out there.
