Help needed - Corrupt AC3 sound file!

Hi, i just came back from Hong-Kong with a bunch of bargain priced dvd's. :-)

basically i want to rip th DVD mpeg2 video/audio streams onto the HDD and then make DIVX files etc.

*the first problem.
One particular DVD has a bad audio (ac3 stream). I was unable to extract any streams with Smartripper, vStrip.(they would crash trying to analyse the 3rd vob file.)
However i succeeded in extracting both the audio/video streams with DVDx. :-)

(basically i have a faultless video stream and an audio stream with one crc error)

*the 2nd problem.
about half way through the AC3 file, a CRC error occurs and the encoding (to both SVCD mpeg2 OR divX) stops.
I use XMPEG to directly extract the AC3 stream , however i cannot recompile it to mp3,Wav etc because it stops @ about 59% saying 'CRC error'

Does anyone know of any software which can convert AC3 streams AND check for/remove errors. Your help would be greatly appreciated :-)
Or even a DVD ripping program which corrects/ignores audio errors as it encodes.
I have tried so many programs and most if not all seem to be totally useless for AC3 files :-(
