New comer, please help!

I just bought a new PS2 with MOD Chip and Action Replay 2 version 1.9 But I cannot run many game copies from the market. Does it matter to use different CD media? Can I duplicate from a low quality CD copy to a high quality media to make it works? Or does it matter on other things? Thanks a million.

Also, what do you mean by 'game copies from the market'? You bought some disks off someone you didn't know and expect them to work? Actually they might but if they don't, copies won't work either.

Also it depends on your modchip how the game should be booted.

It depends on your PS2 and modchip which version of AR2 you should use.

So we need all this stuff to be able to diagnose at a distance.

Re: Re: New comer, please help!

I am living in Hong Kong. We can buy a MOD machine from shops and also buy copied games in other shops. From experience some games can work with some particular machine and nobody in here will know how to tell.
My question is, if the game doesn't run, will it be better if I dupilcate it to a better quality media, or it will not work in any way?
Thanks

Wot media is used for the games DVD or cdr. Some games will not work on a certain modchip, if ur chip is the no-solder r mod then ne cdr-backup over 650 mb will not load.

We know your question but without the answer to my questions, you cannot receive definitive help.

Re: Re: Re: Re: New comer, please help!

Sorry, as I am too new in all these, I don't know how to check the version of the mod chip. But I found that my situation is same as another poster pheonix4 and I think I have the same non-soilder chip. Is that means I could play DVD copies if is was not ripped?
Thanks for your help.

You need to do some research bud. Search this forum to find some of your answers.First off in my experience find out what modchip you have. Second find original games and copy them yourself. You dont know what the hell your getting if your purchasing already copied games I.E. your probably getting ripped off with copies that dont work anyway. I am from U.S A. So I dont really know how things go in your country but I only trust myself, that way I know exactly what has been done. Just a few words of kind advise learn the basics and back up your own games. Have fun P.S I am still learning too so dont feel bad about anything you post.
