Plextor PX-W121032 -OR- PX 241040A?

I was wondering which one is the best... The Plextor PX-W121032 is currently the no.1 in Media Worlds' list as the best cd-writer (I do care about backing up protected cds).
In the other hand I didn't see anyone comparing those 2 drives, so that : either cdmediaworld is a little outdated on "the best cd writer" subject, or it hasn't been tested yet. They said that the PX-W121032 is perfect for R/W Errors. Does this apply to the newest 24x model as well? Can anyone tell me?

If you want to copy current copy protected games, then PX 241040A is the only way to go, unless you can find a PX-W121032 with firmware less then 4.0, but get the 2410, it's a sweet burner and will burn anything out there.

Toodles,

Everywhere I look around the internet I see the PX 241040A being recommended as the best. I'm going to get one because I want to be able to do everything, I've currently got a crappy external FREECOM rw that only works when it wants to.

I just want to check...is this the drive everyone's talking about...it's just that they call it a PX-W2410TA on the page...? ####://www.dabs.com/products/prod-info3-info.asp?&m=y&quicklinx=Z3R

Also, (I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times already ) what software should I get for psx and PC game backups?

Thanks for any help
