GTA3 - Install Problem!!
I am trying to get GTA3 installed onto my other pc to see how it runs etc. Its an AMD Duron 900Mhz, ECS K7S5A mobo, 256MB Crucial ram, Voodoo3, SB Live 1024, etc running on a new install of Win2k Pro with SP2
 It all runs quite well and its really fast. I put the GTA3 cd in, let it auto-run, click on OK then it stops with this error msg: Quote:

i've read a little about it at isonews, but that probably isnt applicable. outside of your question, are you sure that the voodoo supports directx8.1? and is gta3 win2kompatible? random thoughts.....
for someone who knows how the windows installer works - could the iKernel.exe mean its not already present on his hard drive, or is it present, but not starting correctly? oh shit, i have a virus ! its called windows and keeps popping up these little 'update' bubbles........

Hey DW2K, there's something wrong with your registry. Try restoring an older backup of it.

DW2K. can you not download the lates driver for voodoo 3 3000. at www.3dfx.com. every buddy haves problems with voodoo 3 p.s you have the same shit pc like myn. p3 1ghz, 256 ram, voodoo 3 3000, SB live 1024.
