The new clonecd and morrowind...bah

I got the new plextor 40x12x40a atapi, and the newest version of clonecd with that new gui and all that crap ...I tried burning Morrowind (elder scrolls 3) And it gave me that please insert proper cd bull after i was done *grrr*

...I burned it as a game cd * I couldnt select the read speed to make the game cd image * and burned it at 1 speed, I read that I dont need AWS with my plextor so I dont bother changing my location settings, but what kinda junk is this ? Morrowind has the new safedisc 2.5*.* on it and gives an 8 skull with clonyxxl I mean ...gdi it probably woulda worked if i could read it at 1 speed right ? but the new one won't let me. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Im also runinng on win xp and can do it on win98 as well.

Sorry if this sounds a bit rude, but did u actually bother to read the help files that come with Clone CD. Cos if you did, you would know that u can Right Click on the Profiles and EDIT them, where you can then select read speed etc........

Also if you are using the latest version of Clony then it should have an option to create a profile called Clony in Clone CD which it can then update with the required setting at your command.

Lastly, The latest version of Clone CD is very powerfull. I have managed to copy games for backup successfully FIRST TIME and that is something to sing and dance about!

about 20 minutes after i made my post i found that out heh ....It still is worthless, I've burnt 3 coasters so far, 2 using clonecd profiles and one using Clony's suggested settings

Plextors and 2.51 is tough topic to comment on. 95% of people claim it can't, the remainder claim it can.
I have a Plex 24X and it cannot do it for me.

You will have to look at the alternatives such as AWS, Betablocker (BTW neither of these worked for me with GTA3 - Betablocker used to work for me with earlier games with 2.51, but not some newer ones)

Also make sure you ticked Hide CD-R Media. And one more thing - you should be able to make a copy that works in the Plextor no problem - a copy is considered to be good when it works in all drives.

remember, its 2.51.021 and up that is problematic, not all of 2.51 revisions
