Unable to back up

This is my first attempt at backing up. I used CDR WIN to take the image file. When I try to apply the patch using PPF I get a warning message whic says: " The size of the image file is incorrect, continue?" What have I done wrong? The game is Spiderman 2 BTW.

thanx for any help given

"The filesize of the binfile does not match with the filesize of the binfile this PPF-Patch was made of! CONTINUE?"

What is wrong: It seems that you dont have the right binfile. It is very likely that the binfile will be corrupted (and the game wont work after burning). If this warning will show up you
have a 50:50 chance that it will work afterwards.. Different CDRWin versions may add some more bytes to the binfile so this warning is not to be taken toooo seriously. hope this helps if you get another message after you hit continue than you have the wrong patch

Thanx for replying. Why should I not have the correct bin file. I did as all the tutorials suggest. I 'm using the latest version of CDR WIN. Are the earlier versions better? Is Clone CD better?

Thanx

you can try a different patch or a older version of cdrwin. did you burn the patched image and if so did it work? clonecd is the better program if you ask me but it will copy the protection to, so if you do not have an up to date stealth mod chip you will have to use cdrwin to patch it so it will get by the protection

Didn't bother to patch it when the error message appeared. Just one thing, I did the CDR WIN thing twice. Once with RAW and one without. The reason for this was a couple of the tuts said to do it without RAW. Which is the right way? Also its a UK game.

thanks again

Thanx again for your time buzzon. I'll let you know how I get on. Which version of CDR WIN would you recommend?

Problem

I have this problem all the time. It just means you have the wrong patch. Provided you're image is correct.
