no-solder mod chip gta3

is it true this chip will only work with games under 640 megs i had a star chip and replaced it with this because i am going to buy dvd burner and now my gta3 and hotshots3 won't load i read on a post i should use a specific cd-r(verbatim)is this true please help got to get back and finish gta3

The no-solder mod plays all compact disc to cdr backups as well as all dvd to dvd-r backups. Dvd games ripped to cdr must be under 640mb (the TOC of the GS2) to work.
